The Daily Focus · the mechanics
A field only moves when the pressure is not greater than its strength. And it does not move either when all pressure is taken away from it.
In between lies a narrow range. Rico works in it every day, with or without a Daily Focus.
The calculation: pressure against strength
Why does the same load hit one person hard and another hardly at all? Rico explains it with two quantities that every field has.
“The strength of the energy field has a size, and the pressure that comes from outside has a size. If the pressure from outside is greater than the inner strength, injuries and overload arise.”
Rico Brunner
This is a calculation, not a judgment about you. Someone who is overloaded is carrying more pressure at that spot right now than their field can carry there. At another spot, the same field can carry much more than the field of someone for whom everything seems to come easily.
The pressure does not act at a single spot. It spreads through the whole field. That is why Rico does not regulate individual complaints, but the pressure in the whole system, the overload in the whole system.
The narrow range in which a field moves
Between too much and too little pressure lies the range in which a field can take in information and develop.
Following Rico’s description. Schematic.
The left edge is easy to understand. Under too much pressure, a field is busy compensating. No strength is left for anything new. Rico compares this to someone with a broken foot who is supposed to sprint 80 metres. The more overloaded a field is, the more slowly he has to work.
The right edge is more surprising. Why not simply take all the pressure away? Because then the field gets into a conflict. It is supposed to compensate for what is taken from it and develop itself at the same time. It cannot do both at once. That is why Rico takes the pressure away only so far that the work on the causes does not suffer. He calls this tailored work, because for each field he weighs up anew how much it may be.
What you feel is the consequence
What you feel in everyday life are effects. The causes lie deeper. They cannot be felt; according to Rico, they are only visible in the field. That is why the causes are at the center of his work, because the symptoms are the consequences of the causes.
The consequences
What you feel and experience. They often show up in a quite different place from where they arise.
The causes
Where it arises in the field. They cannot be felt, only read in the field. This is where the work starts.
For you, something simple follows from this: you don’t have to explain anything. Whether or not you give a reason for the Daily Focus makes no difference, because what is needed is visible in the field.
Stabilizing is not the same as calming
When Rico takes pressure out of a field, it has a purpose. Only when the pressure is smaller can the causes be strengthened. If a field is very overloaded, this takes a large part of the work at the beginning.
Stabilizing
Releasing pressure so that the causes can be worked on. Development continues.
Only calming
Releasing pressure so that things are quiet. Rico considers this a manipulation that harms the field in the long run and clears up nothing.
“But if you only work on making everything fine, that is a manipulation that harms the energy field in the long run and solves no problems.”
Rico Brunner
Why Rico never works only on the pressure
What would happen if you only ever took the pressure away and left the causes as they are? Rico describes the course like this:
- At first it gets easier. The pressure drops, and you can notice that quickly.
- It doesn’t last. When the work stops, the pressure is soon back, because nothing at its source has changed.
- The cause keeps working. It keeps producing new pressure, and there is more of it.
- The overload grows. The pressure from the unresolved causes builds up.
- It can no longer be regulated. At some point the field is so far out of balance that taking pressure away is no longer enough.
That is why the work on the causes remains the largest part even on a Daily Focus. The Daily Focus only shifts how much of a day is used for the pressure, and does so within a leeway that does not noticeably disturb the work on the causes.
What these mechanics apply to
The calculation of pressure and strength describes the energy field. Others are responsible for the body and for the psyche.
Rico sees Energyology as a complement to both. More on this under Body, psyche and energy field.
Where to go next
How much shifts on a day with a Daily Focus is shown in the drawings under How the work is spread over a day. Back to the overview: The Daily Focus.
