How you experience my work
Do you notice anything when I work on your energy field? Many notice right away that something is changing. Others don’t. For me, both are fine. What matters is that the work is done in the right place.
How I work · how you experience the work
Whether you feel anything depends on where I work. I work where your energy field needs it.
That often lies outside what you perceive yourself. That is why, for me, feeling is not the measure.
What determines what you feel
“The range of perception we have is smaller than our whole system. You can compare it to the field of view of the eyes.”
Rico Brunner
What lies in your field of view, you feel, and there you also notice right away when something changes. But the larger part of your energy field lies outside it, just as much around you lies outside what your eyes are seeing at the moment. When I work in your field of view, you often notice a change right away. What happens outside it, you only notice once it arrives where you feel.
The field of view is a different size for every person. It can also shift, depending on what you are paying attention to at the moment. If you are looking somewhere else after a change of job or in a new relationship, you can easily lose sight of a change, even though it is there.
The iceberg and the three levels
In the Energyology model, the energy field has three levels. On the first, it simply balances out, action and counteraction, entirely without awareness. On the second, the processes run that hold the whole together; they are instinctive and unconscious. On the third lie qualities such as self-love, self-confidence and self-worth, and this part you experience.
An iceberg shows this well: the tip is the small part of the third level that you reach with your actions, thoughts and feelings. Below it, still above the water, lies a band that you experience but cannot change through your behavior. Below the waterline lie the lower part of the third level, the whole second level and the whole first level. That is the larger part. You don’t experience it.
So where I am working at the moment helps decide whether you notice something right away or only later. How long it takes until a change arrives where you feel cannot be planned.
Why you often don’t feel what is good
When an energy field works well, its processes run so fast that you don’t notice them at all, just as many single frames make up a film without you seeing them one by one. A process often only becomes noticeable once it has become too slow.
So feeling more is not automatically better. What works well becomes normal for you, and what is normal no longer stands out to you. Often other people notice it first. Conversely, an energy field does not consciously notice when something isn’t working either.
A tip from practice: at the start, write down what is on your mind right now. Later you can read back where you stood, even if you no longer feel it yourself.
You have been feeling your energy field all along
Many people tell me they don’t feel their energy field at all. Every person feels their own energy. Most just don’t notice it, because they take what they feel to be normal.
“And most people think that if you want to feel your own energy, you have to feel something additional. You have to feel something more, and that is a fallacy.”
Rico Brunner
You perceive your perception intensely above all when there is too little stability in one place. Where there is a lot of stability, it seems unspectacular, because your energy field can process what arrives. If you perceived more of yourself than you can process, that would rather be too much, and that is another reason I work quietly.
Feeling is not the measure
I could work in such a way that you feel a great deal very quickly, and for that I would only have to start with the symptoms, that is, where it shows. The cause would then stay where it is, and with it whatever keeps coming back.
That is why I work on the causes, even if you sometimes only notice something there later. It matters more to me that I work in the right place than that you feel something after every step.
“After all, the goal of the remote energy work is not that a person notices that I am working”
Rico Brunner
Whether you feel something or not, I see in the energy field whether something is moving. After every step I check whether what I intended has happened. That is why I only say “you will feel it later” when I have checked it in the energy field.
Important
Feeling nothing does not mean that nothing is happening. But it is not proof that something is happening either. Whether something is moving in your energy field, I see in the energy field and not from your feeling. If you are unsure, you are welcome to ask me about it.
What this means for you
If a lot is hard right now, it can be a relief to know that a quiet day without any feeling is not a lost day. If you want to hold on to what you have achieved, it is normal that you notice little, because what works doesn’t stand out. If you want to develop further, much of it shows first in what you do in everyday life, not in a feeling.
Feeling on a given day
Depends on where I am working at the moment and what you are paying attention to. Says little about what is happening in your energy field.
Observing in everyday life
What you do, how you decide, what others notice about you. Plus your note from the start, so that you can read back where you stood.
Questions that come up often
- I don’t feel anything. Am I doing something wrong?
- Usually not. You don’t have to do anything, not even be especially open. Often I am working in the part you don’t perceive.
- I felt a lot right away. Is that better?
- It is neither better nor worse. Then the place I worked on was usually in your field of view. What counts for me is whether I am working in the right place.
- Can I practice feeling more?
- Feeling more is not automatically better. Anyone who perceives more of themselves than they can process tends to be overwhelmed by it.
- Why do others notice before I do that something is changing?
- What works well becomes normal for you, and what is normal doesn’t stand out to you. Others see you from the outside.
- How do you know that something is moving if I don’t notice anything?
- I see it in the energy field. After every step I check whether what I intended has happened.
- When will I notice something of the work outside my field of view?
- That cannot be planned and is different for every person.
Where to go next
Why I work on the causes and what the symptom carousel is, is described next under Working on the causes. Why even a big step can feel small at the beginning, and why there are steps back, is described under Your development journey. The glossary explains the three levels under Level, and guiding principle L17 explains the iceberg.
How you can observe without effort in The Field (remote energy work) is described under Observing instead of feeling. More about the field of view and the iceberg is under Why you don’t feel everything.
