What I have observed

Why do I work the way I work? Behind each of my principles there is an observation, often one that surprised me myself. I tell you about some of them here.

Research · observations

I did not make up any of my principles. Each one came out of something I saw and could no longer overlook.

Some of it I tried out on myself before I believed it.

Four observations and the principles that came out of them.

One balloon became many fields

In the beginning I felt a tension in the presence of people in my sessions. I perceived it as one single large balloon. Only after a great many hours of observation did this balloon break apart, for me, into ever smaller energy fields. I saw that they behaved differently, moved and were connected with one another.

This is how the picture I work with today came about: an energy field consists of many parts that work together. What exactly that means is described in the Glossary under energy field.

It is not the situation that makes the difference

At the beginning there was the question of why two people react so differently in the same situation. I observed energy fields for countless hours on this. Certain constellations I only understood after a hundred, two hundred or three hundred hours.

“I was able to observe that it is not the situation that makes the difference.”

Rico Brunner

Behavior does not make it either. What makes the difference is how a person’s energy field is able to respond to a situation. This applies to the hard phase just as much as to the calm one, in which someone holds on to what they have built up, or the one in which they want to move forward.

Sent energy does not last

I used to work like many others: if an energy field seemed weak, I gave it energy. I observed that this made it stronger for a short time, and then it did not stay strong. The person seemed strengthened, but only seemingly.

The longer I looked, the clearer it became to me what this means for an energy field. A small share of foreign energy, about three to five percent, is normal, and a field copes with it. But when energy is deliberately added from outside and the share rises to twenty, thirty percent and more, the energy field can no longer function properly. This insight amazed me more than any other. From then on I researched much more intensively and steadily.

What I saw

A field I gave energy to seemed stronger for a short time and then fell back.

What came of it

I don’t send energy. More under No foreign energy.

A pushed field becomes weaker

In my early twenties I tried it out myself: pushing an energy field in one direction. After that I observed for two weeks what happened. From the outside it looked good. In my own field I saw that I was losing energy and my system was becoming restless. The pushing cost something on both sides.

Since then I have seen it confirmed many times. If you force an energy field into a form, an action or a behavior that does not suit it, you see a short-lived success. In the long run, the field is weakened.

“And that is why one of the principles is: manipulating energy fields harms the energy field even if the manipulation is meant well.”

Rico Brunner

Something else surprised me too. When I started, I imagined my work like that of a surgeon who actively intervenes. What I observed was something different: an energy field cooperates when it receives a stimulus. I make information available, and the field decides for itself whether it takes it up. More on this under No manipulation.

Too much at once overwhelms a field

When I first did remote energy work, I worked on one day and then observed for thirty days what happened in the energy field. I saw that the field was overwhelmed. It simply could not take in that much at once.

So I shortened the interval, step by step, and observed anew each time. Today I work every day, as little as possible and in the right place. That way the energy field has room for its own movement.

Same behavior, different causes

Two people say no in the same situation. For one, the no comes from good self-esteem; for the other, from fear or from being overwhelmed. From the outside it looks the same. In the energy field these are two different processes.

That is why I have learned not to draw conclusions about the energy field from behavior. Behavior gives clues, nothing more. What happens in the field I only see when I look at the field itself. That is also why I don’t need your story for my work.

What does not function stands out

If you know what to look for, what does not function in an energy field jumps out at you. That is not talent alone. I practiced exactly that for a very long time.

“And that is why it lights up for me, because I practiced for a very long time to see exactly what does not function.”

Rico Brunner

Questions that come up often

Did you send energy yourself in the past?
Yes. In the beginning I worked like many others. I stopped because I observed that it does not last.
Why do you work every day in The Field and not once a month?
Because I observed that an energy field cannot take in too much at once. A little, every day and in the right place suits better what a field can process.
Can you tell something about my energy field from my behavior?
No. The same behavior can come from very different processes in the field. That is why I look directly at the energy field.
Is this the same for all people?
The principles apply to all energy fields. How an individual field behaves is different for every person. That is why I observe each field anew.

Where to go next

What I don’t understand yet and what I am researching right now is described under What I am researching today. How I arrive at these observations is described under How I observe.
